TUD ISSUES BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR CEDAR RIDGE CUSTOMERS

TUD Boil Water Advisory

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2026

SONORA, CA: The Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) issued a Boil Water Advisory to notify customers who receive water from the Lakewood and Crystal Falls Treatment Plants that they may be impacted. Due to a recent loss of pressure in an isolated section of the water distribution system, which occurred today, February 18, 2026, TUD issued a Boil Water Advisory to certain customers in the Cedar Ridge area, see attached listing of affected streets. In addition to severe winter weather and power outages, TUD has discovered multiple main water line breaks which have drained water storage tanks and caused loss of pressure to the distribution system.

Please follow the attached Boil Water Instructions when using your tap water for safe drinking and cooking or follow this link to the CDC website:
Drinking Water Advisories: An Overview | Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)-related Emergencies and Outbreaks | CDC

When testing indicates the water is safe to drink without boiling, the District will lift the Boil Water Notice Advisory. Please visit www.tudwater.com for updates.

Please see the attached Boil Water Advisory Notice with impacted street locations.

Thank you for your cooperation.
