Invitation to Bid: Gopher Tank Replacement Project

In general, the project will consist of the installation of a 600,000 gallon welded steel water storage tank with exterior roof rafter system and the installation of a treated water pump station, including any necessary appurtenances on Shaws Flat Road, in Tuolumne County, CA. At the District’s option, Additive Alternates may be added onto the Contract. Additive Alternate 1: Removal and disposal of a 100,000 gallon bolted steel water storage tank and appurtenances and install a pressure reducing station. Additive Alternate 2: Install conduit for power from the new pump station to the new tank. This project is funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and is required to meet MBE/WBE and Section 3 goals.

Sealed proposals for the construction of the Gopher Tank Replacement Project addressed to the Tuolumne Utilities District, 18885 Nugget Boulevard, Sonora, California 95370, will be received at the office of the District until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Friday, April 24th, 2020, and will then be publicly opened and read.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the tank site on Shaws Flat Road, Sonora, California at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31st, 2020. Proposals will only be accepted from contractors represented at the pre-bid conference.

Drawings and Specifications may be examined in the office of the Tuolumne Utilities District, 18885 Nugget Boulevard, Sonora, California 95370. Addendum No. 1 Notice – Posted March 23, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor’s shelter-in-place order, the mandatory pre-bid conference has been rescheduled for a later date.  The bid opening date has remained unchanged.  In the event that the shelter-in-place order extends through April, a subsequent addendum will be issued and mandatory pre-bid conference will be held remotely.

NOTE: CDBG Documents

Although the mandatory pre-bid conference has been rescheduled, please remember that there are still DBE Requirements for this project that need to be completed.  Please do not wait for the pre-bid conference to complete these requirements as some items are time sensitive.  For CDBG related questions, please contact Terry Cox at (209) 533‑8810 or cox_consulting@sbcglobal.net.
