Hazard Tree Removal, Columbia Ditch

HAZARD TREE REMOVAL, COLUMBIA DITCH

To: Interested Licensed Timber Operators – C61 Contractors

 

Sealed proposals for the Hazard Tree Removal Project Columbia Ditch addressed to the Tuolumne Utilities District, 18885 Nugget Boulevard, Sonora, California 95370, will be received at the office of the District until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, and then will be publicly opened and read.

The project scope has been divided into three types of tree management.

Full Clean up Sections: 

Safely take down and remove logs for approximately 95 marked hazard trees located along the TUD Columbia Ditch to include chipping, mastication or removal of slash, erosion control and site rehabilitation for areas along the TUD Columbia Ditch.  The 95 “Full Cleanup” (FC) trees are in the sections as shown in site layout drawings labeled 15-119 to 15-123. 

Full Clean up Sections, buck logs to 16’-6” and leave logs on site: 

Safely take down and leave logs for approximately 15 marked hazard trees located along the TUD Columbia Ditch to include chipping, mastication or removal of slash, erosion control and site rehabilitation for areas along the TUD Columbia Ditch.  The 15 “Full Cleanup-Special” (FC-S) trees are in the sections as shown in site layout drawings labeled 15-119 to 15-123. 

Drop and Lop Sections:

Safely take down approximately 60 marked hazard trees located along the Columbia Ditch.  The 60 “Drop and Lop” (DL) trees are in the sections as shown in site layout drawings labeled 15-119 to 15-123. 

Drawings and Specifications are available at the office of the Tuolumne Utilities District, 18885 Nugget Boulevard, Sonora, California 95370. 

A mandatory pre-bid conference and tour will be held at 18885 Nugget Boulevard, Sonora, California at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 22, 2018.  Proposals will only be accepted from contractors represented at the pre-bid conference.

Due to the Governor’s Tree Mortality Emergency Proclamation 10-30-15, All Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) requirements for this work have been suspended.  Any reference to DIR and Prevailing Wage requirements are dismissed for this contract.
