Twain Harte Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvement Project

Twain Harte Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Twain Harte Wastewater Treatment Plant clarigester has failed and can no longer be operated. Additionally, the clarigester is no longer manufactured and due to the age of the equipment, repair parts are not available. The inability to run equipment has reduced the level of wastewater treatment and has caused an increase in odors and created poor water quality at the plant.

This project will begin with determining the best method of treatment and installing the required equipment. Storage will be retained on site to buffer the flow into the new Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility (SRWWTF) and create redundancy. Grit removal/disposal system will be added, and a trash compactor will be installed to reduce labor and handling of waste.
