MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2020:
In order to comply with the recent Executive Order released on Thursday, March 19th from Governor Newsom in response to the threat of the coronavirus COVID-19, Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD or District) has closed the TUD office and Board Chambers to the public until further notice.
The recent Executive Order signed by the Governor states: “To protect public health, I as State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health order all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence except as needed to maintain continuity of operations of the federal critical infrastructure sectors…”
The District is elevating its precautionary measures for the health and safety of the community and our employees until further notice and reminds you of the following important information:
- TUD Office CLOSED: The TUD office located at 18885 Nugget Blvd. is currently closed to the public. TUD Customer Service staff is available via telephone or by email (see below).
- TUD Board Meeting Room CLOSED: The TUD Board of Director meetings will be held as scheduled entirely telephonically as the Board Chambers are closed to the public. Members of the public may observe and listen to the Board meetings by logging onto the District’s website https://tudwater.com/board-of-directors/meeting-agenda-minutes-video/. While the meeting is in session, the public may participate by submitting comments by email to email@example.com.
- How to Contact TUD: TUD staff remains available to assist customers via telephone or electronic mail (e-mail). Contact Customer Service at (209) 532-5536 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
- How to Pay Your TUD Bill: Utility payments may be placed in the drop box located in the parking lot outside of the TUD office; paid electronically online at www.tudwater.com; or by calling Customer Service.
The health and safety of staff and customers remains TUD’s highest priority. All water operations will continue to run as normal and there is no threat posed by COVID-19 to TUD’s water supply or delivery system. TUD remains committed to delivering the highest level of customer service and will re-open the office and Board Chambers to the public when the situation permits.
