Water Shutoffs

Important Notice – Water Shutoffs to Resume

During the pandemic, a moratorium was placed on water shutoffs.  This meant that customers that were behind on their bills could keep their utility services turned on.  That moratorium ended December 31, 2021.

This Spring, Tuolumne Utilities District will resume its normal water shut off procedures.  This means that you must pay your bill to avoid shut off.

Our Customer Service Representatives are here to help.  We ask that you contact us as soon as possible to make a payment on your account or to discuss a payment plan if needed.

Additionally, there are community resources available to our customers to help assist with delinquent bills.  Please call our office at (209) 532-5536 to make a payment, set up a payment plan or to obtain information about assistance with paying your bill or email us at customersvc@tudwater.com.

TUD Payment Options

The District accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, e-checks, checks and money orders. If sending in a payment via mail, please send checks only- no cash. Customers may also place check payments in our secure drop box located in the parking lot at the TUD office at 18885 Nugget Blvd., Sonora.
