Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) announces the opening for an Engineering Technician in the Engineering Department. Under supervision, performs technical field and office duties supporting the Engineering Department activities related to the planning, design, bidding, construction, installation, maintenance, and inspection including other activities such as surveying, drafting, mapping, researching real property interests and related activities.
The ideal candidate is a team player and reliable employee having 2+ years of recent, progressively responsible experience performing similar duties, is comfortable working in both office and field settings, and has the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of professionals. WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR OIT/1/2/3
Tuolumne Utilities District is seeking multiple Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators in the Operations Department. Under direct or general supervision (depending on level) operates, repairs and maintains the District’s wastewater treatment facilities, including sewer lift stations, collection and reclamation systems; reads and interprets charts and meter readings for analyzing the efficiency of plant operations; maintains chemical inventory; and performs other related work as required. The ideal candidate will possess a current wastewater treatment certification and one or more years’ experience operating a wastewater treatment plant and have proven/demonstrated exceptional work ethics and performance. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications below may also be considered.
Minimum Qualification Requirements (OIT):
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license, have a satisfactory driving record, and be
insurable by the District to operate District vehicles.
• California Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator-in-Training (OIT) certification issued by SWRCB within 2 months of hire date, and Grade 1 Certification within 18 months of hire date.
