Lakewood Lake Water Release

In a recent inspection at the Lakewood Lake facility, Tuolumne Utilities District has determined that the spillway leaving the lake has been compromised. The District will be releasing water from Lakewood Lake out of an abundance of caution in order to reduce the water level. Customers along the Sullivan Creek area in Twain Harte will notice a surge of water for the next couple of days as the water is being released.

Lakewood Lake is a small 6 acre foot water body used primarily as a recreational facility for the Lakewood Park subdivision. Please avoid this area of Sullivan Creek and be alerted that there will be an influx of water in the creek.
