Resident Project Representative Services for the Sonora Wastewater Treatment Facility

TUD is seeking a Resident Project Representative to oversee the construction of a new Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 1400 Southgate Drive in Sonora in Tuolumne

County. The new treatment facility will be capable of treating 5.0 MGD of Max Day Flow and will be replacing the District’s existing treatment facility. It is the District’s intention to begin construction of the new wastewater treatment facility in the Summer/Fall of 2021 with a construction duration of around eighteen (18) months.

The Resident Project Representative shall be on-site every day during active construction for the duration of the project. The estimated cost of the new facility is approximately $25 Million and will be funded by a combination of District customer rates, loans, and grants.

Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST BIDS:

The Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Project consists of upgrades to the TUD Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Sonora California. The upgrades to the Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant are proposed to increase the treatment capacity and improve the effluent quality to meet regulatory permit requirements for future population growth. The facility will be capable of treating 5.0 MGD of Max Day Flows and will have a capacity for Peak Hour Flows of 10.0 MGD.

FY21 CIPP Sewer Rehabilitation Project

TO ALL POTENTIAL PROPOSERS:

Proposals for the construction of the TUD FY21 CIPP Sewer Rehabilitation Project submitted to the Tuolumne Utilities District, will be received until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Tuesday September 29th, 2020. In general, the project will consist of the Installation of 4,517 LF of cured-in-place pipe ranging from 8” to 16” diameters at various locations within the District in Tuolumne County, CA. The Contract for the work will be awarded upon the basis of the total base bid price of the Bid Schedule.

Equipment Selection and Procurement for Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Project: 

The Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) is seeking equipment vendors to submit separate electronic/secured .pdf bids for the procurement of each of five separate equipment packages as part of the current design improvements at the Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located in the City of Sonora, Tuolumne County, California.  Interested vendors shall submit one proposal per equipment package. All proposals shall be in conformance with the performance specification request for proposals (RFP).  Copies of the RFPs in electronic format can be obtained by contacting Mr. Robert Murphy, PE, Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering (714) 376-6943 or via rmurphy@pacewater.com.  The five equipment packages include: 

1) Biological Treatment, 2) Blowers, 3) Filtration, 4) Headworks and Grit Removal System, 5) Sludge Dewatering.

This project is being funded by USDA Rural Development.  Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. 

Bids will be received electronically, via emailed .PDF, at the office of Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering (PACE), Attention: Robert Murphy, PE (email to rmurphy@pacewater.com). Bids will be received until 3:00 PM, (Pacific Standard Time) on October 9th, 2020.
