PG&E CREWS WORKING TO RESTORE WATER SUPPLY TO MAIN TUOLUMNE CANAL

PG&E completed the emergency repairs to its flume and water is again flowing to the TUD system. TUD’s water conservation restrictions have been lifted. Thank you to our customers who conserved water until the system was restored.
SONORA, CA: Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is making steady progress on the emergency repairs to the Main Tuolumne Canal flume, the primary water supply serving the Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) system. Crews are currently walking water down the ditch system today and will continue their efforts throughout the evening.
TUD anticipates that water will be fully restored by mid-day tomorrow, Tuesday, July 1st, ensuring normal operations resume for all customers. Until the repairs are complete, customers are still encouraged to conserve water in order to maintain an adequate supply for essential needs, including drinking water, sanitary usage, and fire protection.
Here’s how you can continue to help:
- Limit outside watering
- Do not wash vehicles
- Turn off automatic lawn and drip sprinkler timers
- Repair water leaks
