TUD INVITES PUBLIC TO VIEW NEWLY CONSTRUCTED WATER STORAGE TANK

Sonora, CA: Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the White Fir Water Tank and Pump Station in Twain Harte, California, which boasts a capacity of 400,000 gallons. The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting and open house event to explore the new tank, gain insights into this project, and engage with TUD staff.
Event Details:
Date: Wednesday, May 7th, 2025
Time: 5-5:30 p.m.
Location: 24302 White Fir Drive, Twain Harte
The new White Fir Tank replaced an aged, 35-year-old tank that had reached the end of its useful life and will provide increased water storage capacity for the area after a previous tank at a lower elevation was removed due to structural failure. The new tank will be used to replace both former tanks and features exterior roof rafters forced air ventilation, stairway access and state-of-the art telemetry equipment.
“Investing in modern water infrastructure is critical for ensuring a reliable water supply for our community,” said TUD General Manager, Don Perkins. “We are excited to showcase this new 400,000-gallon tank and share the details of this important project.”
At the ribbon cutting event, light refreshments will be served, and district staff will be on hand to provide additional information and answer any questions that the public may have.
