TUD Board of Directors New Election Mapping Boundaries Released for Public Review

New mapping of proposed “district-based” election boundaries for the Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) Board of Directors are now available for the public to view at the TUD website, www.tudwater.com.

TUD hired Redistricting Insights in December 2021 to assist in the transition and in drawing a legally permissible map for the 2022 Board of Directors elections. The Board will hold a public hearing to review the proposed new district mapping at the next Board meeting on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, beginning at 9 a.m.

“The decision to adopt a “district-based” election format isn’t due to a philosophical change by the Board. Rather it’s a strategic, proactive move to potentially save the district tens of thousands or more dollars in legal fees”, states Don Perkins, General Manager.
