Traffic Advisory Drive with Caution Image

SONORA, CA: Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) construction crews are set to begin the installation of a new water mainline along the shoulder of Phoenix Lake Road as part of the Midland Improvement Project. This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4th, 2026, and work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., continuing for four weeks.

During the work, flagging and one-lane traffic control will be in effect from Midland Dr. to Sommette Dr., and drivers may experience up to 20-minute delays. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible. For those who must travel through the work area, please drive with caution to ensure the safety of construction workers and the public.
