94 Snell Street Water Main Bypass and Replacement – CLOSED

Project Description
Tuolumne Utilities District is accepting on call estimates for Water Main Bypass and Replacement near 94 Snell Street. Project completion will be coordinated with the City of Sonora’s Roadway and Retaining Wall Project and must occur prior to final paving.

Phase 1- Install approximately 80 linear feet of 2″ CTS Polyethylene Pipe and reconnect two existing 3/4″ copper service laterals to serve as a temporary bypass during construction, in accordance with the attached plan drawings. Ensure the line maintains a minimum cover depth of 18″ to minimize the potential for damage.

Phase 2- Install approximately 80 linear feet of 6″ C900, reconnect the two existing 3/4 inch service connections, and restore the main line to its original alignment. The easternmost meter and meter box will need to be relocated to avoid conflict with the proposed retaining wall. The final location shall be determined in the field during construction. The customer-side lateral will also need to be re-aligned to accommodate the retaining wall; however, as this is under the City’s responsibility, you will need to coordinate with them for direction.
